What This Course Covers
This course covers the essentials to create an excellent expository essay, going over concepts such as how to create a focused thesis, selecting effective examples, and creating a commentary that adds to the essay effectively. These expository essays are major grades in 9th grade at Seven Lakes High School and it is difficult to procure a high score. Our aim is to give the student the best possible opportunity of doing so.
Meet Your Teachers
Jessica Chai
Jessica is a junior attending Seven Lakes High School. She is well rehearsed in this course, having broken the school record for the most 100's obtained on her expository essays in a school year. Her essays have been consistently scored as the highest amongst Jessica's peers throughout her freshman year, and achieved recognition early on as the first student to have her essay be used as an example of excellence. Jessica also has experience editing and revising others' essays, offering her services to her peers to better their writings.
Nicole He
Nicole is a sophomore attending Seven Lakes High School. She is well rehearsed in this course, having obtained a 100 on one of her essays, a score only a very selective group of students achieve.
Natalie Pang
Natalie is a sophomore attending Seven Lakes High School. She has attended a timed write essay course as well as a SAT rhetorical essay class, and has consistently achieved A's on her essays throughout her freshman year.
Alice Qiang
Alice is a sophomore attending Seven Lakes High School. She has achieved two 100's on her high school timed write essays, a score only a very selective group of students receive.
